Motherhook Fiber & Co. grew from a lifelong love of making, curiosity, and the quiet comfort I’ve always found in working with my hands. Before yarn dyeing ever entered the picture, I came from a science background—drawn to process, chemistry, and understanding how things work at their most fundamental level. That part of me never went away; it simply found a new language through fiber.

Dyeing yarn became the place where everything finally met: the precision of science, the creativity of art, and the heart of motherhood. Each skein is hand-dyed slowly and intentionally, inspired by nature, quiet moments, and the beauty of softness and imperfection. In this work, I feel whole—every part of who I am showing up at once—and my hope is that these yarns carry that same sense of care, calm, and connection into whatever you choose to make with them.
